Type/PCPM Code
PCPM is an acronym for the Programmable Call Progress Monitoring process. During the ini-
tialization that precedes the PCPM, the Voice Mail defines a tone by sending the tone type to
the Dialogic card.
Then this is what happens during PCPM:
1. When the Dialogic card detects the tone, it sends the Tone ID back to the Voice Mail.
2. The Voice Mail checks the tone table to find a corresponding PCPM code for that Tone ID.
To change a tone parameter in the tone table:
1.
Click to highlight the first parameter you want to change.
2.
Enter the new value for that parameter.
3.
Press the Tab key to move to the next parameter you want to change.
4.
Repeat these steps until you have finished making changes to your tone records.
To add a new tone record to the tone table:
1.
Click the
button.
After all your tone records, the Voice Mail will add a tone record whose ID is 255, similar to
the one shown below.
2.
Change the 255 to the next consecutive ID number.
For example, if your last tone record’s ID is 4, you would change the 255 to 5.
3.
Enter values for this tone record’s other parameters, including PCPMCode.
To remove a tone record from the tone table:
1.
Click to highlight the ID of the tone record you want to remove from the tone table.
2.
Click the
button.
3.
When you have finished making changes to tone records on the Tone tab,
click the
button to save your changes.
Then click the Global Parameters tab to move on to an explanation about the Global Parameters.
Default/Entries:
