First Log In Option
If this option is selected, the Voice Mail plays an Announcement Message when a user logs
onto a Subscriber Mailbox for the first time. The Voice Mail allows one of two options:
Q
Option 1 plays the Announcement Message only.
Q
Option 2 plays the Announcement Message, then explains how to record a Mailbox
Greeting/Name, and assign a Security Code.
First Log In Announcement Mailbox
This is the number of the Announcement Mailbox that plays the Announcement Message when
the
First Log In Option
(above) is enabled.
Availability:
All versions of the NT Voice Mail.
This option only applies to Subscriber and Guest Mailboxes.
Default:
None
Entries:
Click inside the dialog box next to Option. You see your choices.
Click on the desired entry.

Notes:
•
The Voice Mail plays the Announcement Message that is recorded for the
First Log In Announcement Mailbox (see previous paragraph).
•
If the Announcement Message is not recorded for Option 2, the Voice
Mail still explains how to use the options.
•
If users log onto their mailboxes for the first time and immediately hang
up without completing the tutorial, the tutorial will not play again.

An Announcement Mailbox Number (Up to 7 digits).

Be sure to set the following options:

Next Call Routing Mailbox
should be set to None.

Hang Up After
should not be selected.

Security Code
should be set to None.
Keep in mind that the Voice Mail automatically fills in the Security
Code if you assigned one during the installation procedure. You
will have to delete it.

To record the Announcement Message, use the System Administra-
tor’s Menu.
