Chapter 3: Programming

Extension

The Extension value is the number of the phone system’s extension that is physically con-
nected to the fax port that you are customizing.

In Service

The value in the In Service check box determines whether a port will be enabled or disabled.
When enabled, the port is available for sending Voice Mail messages. (See Allow Fax Callouts
below for information about enabling the port for FAX transmission.)

Allow Fax Callouts

The value in the Allow Fax Callouts check box determines whether or not a port will be
enabled for FAX transmission. When enabled, the port is available to the Voice Mail for

sending out requested FAX documentsas FAX callouts.
