Description
Using a System Administrator Mailbox, you can customize (re-record) all the voice prompts in the
Voice Mail system.
If you want or need voice prompts in two languages, you can record them in any two languages you
choose. Or, if the factory-installed language meets one of your language requirements, you can use
the System Prompt Customization feature to record voice prompts in the second language.
The Voice Mail refers to the two languages as Language 1 and Language 2. In systems with one
default (factory-installed) language, Language 1 and Language 2 are the same. See page 121 for
more information about languages.
To customize the Voice Prompts:
1.
Call System Administrator Mailbox:
From any extension in the Voice Mail:
— Get intercom dial tone + Dial Voice Mail master ext If requested, dial Sys Admin
Mailbox If requested, dial security code.
From outside, using the Voice Mail:
— Dial Auto Attendant Wait for gr Press # + Dial Sys Admin Mailbox
If requested, dial security code.

Availability:
All versions of the NT Voice Mail.
Notes:
• The voice prompts begin on page page 447.
• Your Voice Mail may be able to pre-install voice prompts in five languages
depending on the languages needed. See page 121.
Default:
All prompts are recorded in the voice selected by the manufacturer. If you
record a substitute for a default voice prompt, then erase the substitute, the
Voice Mail reverts back to using the default prompt.
