Viewing Protocol-based VLAN Information Page
Non-Configurable Data
Group Name
- The name associated with the group. Group names can be up to 16 characters. The
maximum number of groups allowed is 128.
Group ID
- The number used to identify the group. It was automatically assigned when you created
the group.
Protocol(s)
- The protocol(s) that belongs to the group. There are three configurable protocols: IP,
IPX, and ARP.
IP
- IP is a network layer protocol that provides a connectionless service for the delivery of data.
ARP
- Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) is a low-level protocol that dynamically maps network
layer addresses to physical medium access control (MAC) addresses.
IPX
- The Internetwork Packet Exchange (IPX) is a connectionless datagram Network-layer
protocol that forwards data over a network.
VLAN
- The VLAN ID associated with the group.
Interface(s)
- The interfaces associated with the group.
