3. Tally Connectors

Four 25-pin “D” connectors are provided for tallies.

The functionality of connectors

is standard, providing 36 tally relays.

The functionality of connectors

and

4

is optional, providing an additional 36 tally

relays. The

Extended Tallies

option must be installed.

The next figure illustrates the dual power connectors on the rear of the

Synergy 3

control panel. The

labeling and placement of these two connectors will differ, depending upon the size of your specific
Synergy Q/MD switcher.

Synergy 3 Control Panel — Rear View, Power Section

Please note:

•

Each AC connector includes a power lock to retain the power cable connector.

The connector marked

REDUNDANT POWER

is always installed, whether or not you have the

Redundant Power Supply

option mounted inside the control panel tub.

Synergy Q/MD Frame

The following figure illustrates the rear connector panel of the electronics frame.

1. Power Connectors

Two AC connectors are provided for frame power. Note that the Synergy Q/MD frame
comes standard with one AC power supply, which is factory-installed in the top slot.
