AuxB+KCut
— Select this option to assign an AuxKey Background and Key Cut
to the selected crosspoint button. The AuxB+KCut allows you to perform a cut of
the AuxKey background and keyer on the selected Aux Bus.

AuxB+KTrans
— Select this option to assign an AuxKey Background and Key
Transition to the selected crosspoint button. The AuxB+KTrans allows you to
perform a transition of the AuxKey background and keyer on the selected Aux Bus.
Refer to the section “
AuxKeys Setup ” on page 8-15 for information on setting the
AuxKey transition rate.
•
Bus Hold
— Select this option to assign a Bus Hold to the selected crosspoint
button. The Bus Hold allows you to have the currently selected source, on the bus
that you select the Bus Hold for, not change when a memory recall is performed.
This is the same as holding the crosspoint button when performing a memory recall.
•
BNC XXX
— Select the desired Input BNC to assign it to the selected crosspoint
button.
6. Set the Reverse Key Shift behavior as follows (refer to the section “ Reverse Key Shift ”
on page 7-21 for information on this feature):

— Toggle the
Rev KeyShift
button to
On
to enable Reverse Key Shift.

Off
— Toggle the
Rev KeyShift
button to
Off
to disable Reverse Key Shift.
7. Press
HOME
to display the Installation Change Confirmation Screen .
8. Accept or reject the changes you have made as follows:
• Press
Confirm
to accept the changes.
• Press
Cancel
to exit the menus safely, without making any changes. The system
returns to the previously stored settings.
This completes the procedure for editing a bus map.
Bus Map Tips
The following tips may be helpful when defining a bus map:
• You can map an input to more than one crosspoint .
• Associate your primary inputs first, followed by your shifted inputs.
• To save a crosspoint button, you may wish to assign Color Background 2 as the shifted
function of Color Background 1.
• For convenience, you can place alphas as the shifted button of the associated fill.
However, if you are short on inputs, it is not necessary to place alphas on the panel —
because the auto-Key association calls them up
automatically when you punch up a Key
fill.
Shifted Crosspoint Buttons
There are two types of shifted crosspoint buses, Standard Shift crosspoint buses and Reverse Key
Shift crosspoint buses. Both of these types are discussed in this section.
Operating
Tip
You can use Assign Maps to jump to the Assign Bus Maps Menu
directly. A confirmation screen will be displayed, asking you to save
your changes.
