• Installation Registers
This set of registers stores default settings for all switcher setup and software-based
configurations. When reset, the following areas will return to factory default values:
• Custom Control Registers
This set of registers stores the functions that you have programmed into the Custom
Control group. These functions can include VTR remote control commands, DVE
control commands, and other panel-specific macros (programmable keys). When reset,
all registers are cleared (empty).
• Default VTR Clips
This set of registers stores all VTR clips in timecode format. When reset, all registers are
cleared out, and all clips are erased.
• NV-RAM
When reset, the Non-Volatile RAM of the switcher is cleared.
• S&T
This set of registers stores the Squeeze & Tease MD Sequences that you have
programmed. When reset, all programmed sequences are cleared.
• Bus Maps
This set of registers stores the Bus Maps that you have created. When reset, all the Bus
Maps you have created are cleared. The default bus map is not affected by the factory
recall.
Recall Factory Procedure
Use the following procedure to restore factory default values.
1. As a precaution, ensure that any setups, memory registers or special configurations are
stored to disk. Once you recall default registers, there is no undo function! Refer to
Chapter 10, “ Memory and Disk Functions ” of the Synergy Q/MD/X Operator’s
Manual for complete instructions.
2. Navigate to the Installation Menu 2-2 as follows:
• Press HOME B MORE B Setup B Installation B MORE .
• BNC Input Names • Output Setup
• BNC Input Types • Clean Feed Setup
• Tally Configuration • GPI Input / Output Setup
• Alpha Setup • Device Setup
• Auto Key Configuration • Editor Communications Setup
• Panel Button Assignments • Custom Banks
• Aux Bus Setup • Custom Device Setup
• Isolated MultiDSK Mode
Note
When a Factory Recall is performed there will be a 10 second pause as
the switcher recalls the default settings.
