to display the Output Boards Menu .

3. Activate the AuxKeys option as follows:
• Use the
Output Group
knob to select the group of 4 BNCs that you want to assign
to the Aux Mixer or Aux Mixer/Keyer.
• Use the
Configuration
knob to select the AuxKey configuration you want. You
can select between the following:
~
Outputs — Select this option to assign the selected output group as standard
outputs. This frees up this output group to allow you to assign standard
switcher outputs to all the BNCs in the group.
~ Aux Mix — Select this option to assign the selected output group as an Aux
Mixer. This will allow you to perform Background dissolves in the aux bus.
~ Aux Mix/Key — Select this option to assign the selected output group as an
Aux Mixer/Keyer. This will allow you to perform Background and Key 1
dissolves in the aux bus.
~ Aux Mix/Pre — Select this option to assign the selected output group as an
Aux Key pre-key. This will allow you to create a properly timed external loop
that re-enters an Aux Key back into the switcher as a video source.
Aux Key pre-keys cannot be re-entered onto another Aux Bus that is already
configured as an Aux Key pre-key.
• Use the
Aux Bus
knob to select the Aux Bus Bank and Assign button that you
want to assign the AuxKey to.
This completes the procedure for turning the AuxKeys option on.
Note Output BNCs on Video Output Boards that are not installed on the
frame appear gray. You can still select one of those BNCs but a
warning message will appear indicating it is not installed.
Operating
Tip
If you intend to install the MultiDSK or Mix DSK options, you should
not use output blocks #
B01 - B04 , or # B05 - B08 as these blocks are
assigned and locked by these options.
Important On the Synergy 1 Q/MD you must assign the AuxKeys to Bank 1 ,
Aux 1 ( 1:1 ) or Bank 1 , Aux 2 ( 1:2 ) so that there is an Aux button you
can use to access the AuxKeys.
Operating
Tip
You can route the AuxKeys output to an input to provide an additional
Mixer and Keyer to your main switcher output.
