Standard Features
The following features are standard in all Synergy Q/MD switchers:
16 Multi-Definition Serial Digital Inputs
Synergy Q/MD Switchers come standard with 16 multi-definition serial digital inputs (optionally
expandable to either 26 or 32 inputs). All inputs can be used direct to air, as key alpha channels, or as
chroma key sources. They can also be “locked out” if they are not used. Any input can be assigned to
any control panel pushbutton or shifted pushbutton, thus simplifying installation and your ability to
customize the panel layout. Note that if
Mnemonics are purchased, different shows can use
completely different sets of inputs optimally arranged on the control panel with labeling that follows.
In addition to the 16 standard inputs, there is a dedicated analog reference input. Refer to the section
“
Analog Reference Input ” on page 1-11 for details.
16 Configurable Multi-Definition Serial Digital Outputs
All Synergy Q/MD switchers come standard with 16 timed digital outputs. Outputs are fully
configurable and can be used as MLE Program, MLE Preview, MLE Clean Feed, Preview Overlay,
MultiDSK, Aux Bus, or AuxKey.
The output signals shown in the following table are available from the crosspoint matrix to the output
cards in a standard system with no additional I/O cards installed. Each of these output signals can be
mapped to any number of Output BNCs. For example, the MLE 1 Program signal can be mapped to
BNCs B12, B13, and B14 if desired.
Not included in the above tally are signals generated by the following:
• The optional MultiDSKs DSK 3 and DSK 4
• Processed Aux Bus feeds when the optional AuxKeys are activated
