The menu allows you to select a remote GPI (

4. Assign a Remote GPI input to an Aux Bus and Input BNC as follows:
• Use the
Remote
knob to select the remote GPI that you want to assign to an Aux
Bus.
• Use the
Aux Bus
knob to select the Aux Bus that you want to assign the GPI input
to.
• Use the BNC knob to select the Input BNC that you want to be selected on the
Remote Aux Panel when the selected GPI input is triggered.
5. Press Remote GPI Type to display the Remote GPI Type Menu .

6. Set the type for the Remote GPI inputs as follows:
• Use the Remote knob to select the remote GPI input that you want to set up the
type for.
• Use the Type knob to select the type of control that you want to assign to the
selected GPI input. You can select between the following:

Low-Override — This type of input trigger causes a temporary override on
contact closure (high to low signal). When the contact opens again (low to high
signal), any override on this Aux Bus is ended, and the Aux Bus output returns
to its selected crosspoint.
~ Low-Toggle — This type of input trigger causes an override on initial contact
closure (high to low signal) if no override exists currently on this Aux Bus.
Note The current version of the Remote Aux Panels can only support Aux
Buses Bank1 , Aux1 through Bank2 , Aux4 . Setting the Aux Bus
knob to a value not within this range will result in the Remote Aux
Panel not being able to route the video properly.
The Synergy 1 Q/MD Remote Aux Panels can only support Aux
Buses
Bank1

Aux1
through
Bank2
,
Aux2

The text (in the main area) above the
Remote GPI Type
label
indicates the type of trigger selected for the highlighted remote GPI.
This information tracks each GPI as you rotate the
Remote
knob.
Note
The default type is the Low-Override trigger.
