Use the following procedure to set up your alpha inputs:
1. Navigate to the BNC Menu 1-3 as follows:
• Press
HOME B MORE B Setup B Installation B BNC
.
2. Press
BNC Type
to display the BNC Type Menu .

3. Assign an Input BNC as an alpha as follows:
• Use the
BNC
knob to select the Input BNC you want to assign as a Key Alpha.
• Use the
Type
knob to select
Alpha
.
When you select
Alpha
as the
Type
, the Auto Key item in the Status Box changes
to Alpha , indicating whether the new alpha is Shaped or Unshaped.
• Use the
Video Format
knob to select the input video format of the associated
BNC.
4. Press
Alpha
to display the Alpha Menu .

5. Define the alpha as shaped or unshaped as follows:
• Use the Alpha knob to select the Input BNC you want to configure.
• Use the Mode knob to select the desired Key Alpha mode. You can choose between
the following:
Note Assigning a Video Format to an Input BNC that is different than the
native video format that the switcher is operating in, can only be used
for passing non-native video formats out an
Aux Bus . Refer to the
section “ Configuring the Outputs ” on page 8-3 for more information
on assigning outputs to Aux Buses.
