Synergy Q/MD Engineering Manual (v9.1 MD)

Lock/Unlock Installation

The Lock/Unlock Installation feature allows you to password protect the 

Installation Menus

. Setting 

a password helps prevent unauthorized modification of switcher installation settings. Setting a 
password also prevents recalling of installation registers.

When the Lock/Unlock Installation feature is active, a 

Warning Screen

 is displayed when you 

attempt to navigate to the 

Installation Menu

 stating that the installation settings are locked and any 

changes will not be saved.

Use the following procedure to lock or unlock the installation settings of the switcher:

1. Navigate to the 

Lock/Unlock Installation Menu

 as follows:
