Mix/DSK Option
The Mix/DSK option provides a mixer and Keyers for the bottom (Program/Preset) MLE in a half
MLE switcher. This option must be installed in order to use the Program/Preset MLE in a
Synergy 1.5
and 2.5 Q/MD .
The Mix/DSK option assigns and locks certain BNCs on the Output Board to the main switcher
outputs. These assignments are as follows:
• Output #B01 — This output is locked to Program .
• Output #B02 — This output is locked to Program (same as B01 ).
• Output #B03 — This output is locked to Mix Preview (without Overlay).
• Output #B04 — This output is locked to Mix Preview (same as B03 ).
• Output #B05 — This output is locked to Mix Clean 1 , which is taken before
Downstream Key 1.
• Output #B06 — This output is locked to Mix Clean 2 , which is taken before
Downstream Key 2.
• Output #B07 — This output is set, but not locked, to PRV w/ OVL (Preview with
Overlay).
If you have a half-MLE switcher, you may have both Mix and MultiDSK options installed. The BNC
assignments are different in this case. Refer to the section “
Mix/MultiDSK ” on page 8-14 for details.
Mix/DSK Setup
Use the following procedure to turn the Mix/DSK option on:
1. Navigate to the Output Menu as follows:
• Press
HOME B MORE B Setup B Installation B Output
.
Note
Turning this option Off for your Half MLE switcher will prevent you
from using your Program/Preset MLE. Turning this feature On for a
full MLE switcher will revert your full Program/Preset MLE to a half
MLE.
Operating
Tip
Output # B07 is automatically set to Preview with Overlay when you
set up a Mix/DSK. This can be changed later.
Note The Mix/DSK option must be purchased and installed before you can
activate it.
