Software Upgrades and Options • 6–33

The serial number of the switcher you want to install the option on.

The name of the options you want to install on the switcher.

6. You will be given a 4 to 6 digit numeric code.

7. Enter the option code into the switcher as follows:

Enter the code using the keypad in the

Global Memory System Group

•

To complete the process, press

ENTER

on the keypad or press

Finished

on the

Add Option Menu

•

Once entered, the menu indicates “

Installed

,” and the system displays the

Software

Options Menu

to confirm.

This completes the procedure for activating software options.

Backing Up and Restoring Option Codes

The following procedures

allow you to make a backup of your option codes and restore them if

necessary.

Backing Up Option Codes

Use the following procedure to create a backup of your option codes:

1. Navigate to the

Installed Options Menu 2-2

as follows:

Backup Option Codes

. A backup of the option codes is created.

This completes the procedure for creating a backup of your option codes.

Important

You must enter all characters, including any leading zeros.

Delete All SW Options

Delete Selected SW Option

functions are reserved for factory use only. Do not use these functions
unless instructed to do so by Ross Video Technical Support.
