Use the following procedure to check your Keys:
1. On the Program ( PGM) Bus , select the
MLE 1
re-entry crosspoint. Note that sample
crosspoint names are used below.

2. Select a background source on the Program (PGM) Bus of MLE 1 (such as a camera or
VTR), and select your first Key source on the KEY Bus of MLE 1 . A sample selection
is shown below.

3. In the MLE 1 Key 1 Group select the following:
• Press
AUTO SELECT
to select a linear Key type. The
KEY MEM
button will
automatically light.
• Press
CUT
to take the Key on-air. The
CUT
button lights momentarily, and the red
ON
indicator lights to show that the selected Key is on-air.
Note
In the figure above, the Key Bus sources do not match the BKGD and
PST bus sources. This is because this example uses the Reverse Key
Shift function, thus making the Key Bus shifted all the time . Refer to
the section “ Setting Up Panel Buttons ” on page 7-17 for instructions.
