MANUAL ANTENNA REMOVAL/INSTALATION
Caution
•
When installing the manual antenna, not
tightening the mounting nut fully could
cause poor radio reception. When
installing the manual antenna, securely
tighten the mounting nut according to the
specified torque value.
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Turn over the trunk compartment covering from
passenger’s side. (Refer to 09-17 TRUNK
COMPARTMENT COVERING
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
3. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
4. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Use snap-ring pliers to remove the mounting nut.
MANUAL ANTENNA INSPECTION
1. Turn over the trunk compartment covering from
passenger’s side. (Refer to 09 -1 7 TRUNK
COMPARTMENT COVERING
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
2. Disconnect the rear antenna feeder.
3. Verify that there is no continuity between manual
antenna terminals A and B by using an ohmmeter.
4. Check for continuity between the manual antenna
terminals by using an ohmmeter.

POWER ANTENNA INSPECTION
1. Turn over the trunk compartment covering from
passenger’s side. (Refer to 09-17 TRUNK
COMPARTMENT COVERING
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
2. Disconnect the power antenna connector.
3. Connect ground to terminal D of the power
antenna.
4. Connect ground to a bare metal part of the vehicle
and battery positive voltage to the following
W6U920W13
terminals of the power antenna. Verify that the
power antenna operated as indicated below.
