TROUBLESHOOTING [POWER DOOR LOCK SYSTEM]
STEP INSPECTION ACTION
8 Verify that following fuses are okay.
• ROOM 15 A fuse
• RADIO 15 A fuse
• METER 10 A fuse
Are all fuses okay?
Yes Check that all door switches are installed securely on
chassis.
If all door switches are installed securely: Go to step 1
of symptom troubleshooting No.1.
If any door switch is not installed securely: Install door
switch on chassis securely.
Return to step 7.
No
Check for short to ground circuit on blown fuse’s circuit.
Repair or replace as necessary.
Install appropriate amperage fuse.
9 Do all of following items operate sequentially
every 3 seconds during on-board diagnostic
function 1 ?
• Trunk lid to unlock
• All doors to lock
• Driver’s side door to unlock
• All doors to unlock
Note
• Trunk lid opener unlocks simultaneously when
buzzer sounds one time.
Yes Go to step 12.
No Verify malfunction judgment buzzer sounds 1 time.
If buzzer sounds one time but power door lock system
does not operate: Go to next step.
If buzzer sounds one time but trunk lid does not
unlock: Go to step 11.
If buzzer sounds two times: Go to step 14 of symptom
troubleshooting No.1.
10 Operate inner door lock knob and make sure door
locks and unlocks manually.
Do all door’s door lock systems work? Yes Go to step 1 of symptom troubleshooting No.2.
No Troubleshoot door lock linkage.
11 Does trunk lid open when trunk lid opener switch
is turned on? Yes Check wiring harness continuity between terminal 2D at
CPU connector and trunk lid opener switch.
If wiring harness is OK, go to step 1 of symptom
troubleshooting No.2.
No Go to step 1 of symptom troubleshooting No.2.
12 Perform on-board diagnostic function 2.

Function 2
Does number of buzzer sound 4 times on all three
tests (LOCK, UNLOCK and TRUNK signal
inspections)?
Yes System is normal.
No If buzzer sounds two times: Replace keyless unit.
If buzzer sounds three times on all three tests: Go to
step 1 of symptom troubleshooting No.3.
If buzzer sounds combination of three and four times:
Replace transmitter.
