BODY PANELS
HOOD ADJUSTMENT
1. Remove the hood lock.
2. Measure the gap and height between the hood
and the front fender panel.

1. Loosen the hood installation bolts and reposition
the hood.

3. If not as specified, adjust the gap and height.
4. Install and adjust the hood lock. (Refer to 09-14
HOOD LOCK ADJUSTMENT.)

2. Tighten the hood installation bolts.
Height
• Turn the stop rubber to adjust the height of the
hood.
HOOD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Pull out the windshield washer pipe.
3. To remove the hood hinge, remove the front
bumper and the front fender panel. (Refer to
0 9 -1 0 FRONT BUMPER
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.) (Refer to 09-10
FRONT FENDER PANEL
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
4. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
5. Install in the reverse order of removal.
6. Adjust the hood. (Refer to 09-10 HOOD
ADJUSTMENT.)
7. Adjust the headlight aiming. (Refer to 09-18
HEADLIGHT ADJUSTMENT.)
