RF Frequency

Band / Channel / Frequency
Sets the RF channel of the forward carrier. "Reverse Link Frequency" displays the cen-
ter frequency of the RF analyzer and "Forward Link Frequency" the center frequency of
the generated 1xEV-DO signal.
To specify the center frequencies, select a band class first, then enter a valid channel
number. The resulting frequencies are calculated automatically.
The relation between operating band, frequency and channel number is defined by
3GPP2. For an overview of available band classes see
The RF frequency settings can be changed in all main connection states. For an estab-
lished connection changing the channel via this section causes an implicit channel
handoff. You can also perform a handoff to reconfigure several parameters, see

Frequency Offset
Modifies the nominal forward link frequency of the selected band class and RF chan-
nel. A frequency offset represents a signal impairment; it can be as well used to simu-
late a moving AT, causing a Doppler shift of the received RF signal.
