PN Offset
Pilot PN offset index of the generated forward 1xEV-DO signal, indicates the timing of
the sector's short codes relative to the system time (zero-offset PN sequence). The PN
offset is measured in units of 64 pseudo-noise (PN) chips. The range of PN offset indi-
ces is 0 to 511. Different base stations are identified by different PN offsets; therefore,
the AT must be able to determine the PN offset of a base station.
The PN offset is sent in the Sync Channel Message.

Color Code
8-bit color code of the sector.

Subnet Mask
8-bit sector subnet identifier. The access network sets this field to the number of con-
secutive 1's in the subnet mask of the subnet to which this sector belongs. Values up
to 128 are supported.
