The calculated "Paging Channel Slot Cycle Index" is used to determine the length of
the slot cycle by setting the number of slots in the slot cycle. Each slot durates 1.28
seconds. The number of slots in the slot cycle is determined by the formula:
Slot cycle = 1.28 s × 2

Example:
I = 0
Slot cycle = 1.28 seconds
1 slot

Slot cycle = 2.56 seconds
2 slots
I = 2
Slot cycle = 5.12 seconds

The PCH is monitored during the slot cycle when operating in the slotted mode. An MS
slot occurs once per slot cycle.

Broadcast Slot Cycle Index
Specifies the interval of the periodical broadcast messaging signaled to the MS. The
value zero indicates that periodic paging is disabled.

Page Registered MS
Specifies if also the non-registered mobile stations have to be paged. This feature veri-
fies the correct behavior of the unregistered MS that receives a paging request.

Registration
This section defines settings of the registration procedure.
Timer Based Registration is available with the basic signaling application R&S CMW-
KS800. All other registration types require the advanced signaling option R&S CMW-
KS810.
