Format
Input format for the 128-bit overall sector ID. "ANSI-41" means that the R&S
CMW
builds the overall ID based on a 24-bit sector ID, the number of parity bits, and the Sys-
tem ID (SID) defined in the "1xEV-DO Signaling" main view. This method is simpler
and ensures compatibility between the SID and the sector ID.
Fig. 2-45: ANSI-41 format
According to the ANSI-41 format, the "P" bits are a sequence of zero or more 0's fol-
lowed by one 1; the number of "P" bits is defined in the ANSI-41 section. The format
bits are set to the binary value "00". The "N" bits are set to the System ID (SID), the "S"
bits contain the 24-bit "Sector ID". A new "X" bit pattern is randomly generated every
time the forward 1xEV-DO signal is turned on. This ensures that the R&S
CMW simu-
lates a new sector, forcing the AT to negotiate a new session.

ANSI-41
The following parameters configure ANSI-41.
Sector ID [Bits 23 ... 0] ← ANSI-41
24-bit sector ID, entered as a 6-digit hexadecimal number.
Remote command:

Number P-Bits ← ANSI-41
Number of parity bits.
Remote command:

Overall ID [Bits 127 ... 0] ← ANSI-41
Calculated overall ID, depending on the SID, the "Sector ID", and the "Number P-Bits".
Remote command:
