The interrupt enable register (IER) in UART mode can be programmed to
enable/disable any of the following interrupts:

Receiver error
-
RHR
-
THR
-
XOFF
-
CTS/RTS change of state from low to high
Each of these interrupts can be enabled/disabled individually. There is also a
sleep mode enable bit.
