Qboost
Qboost is a system utility that monitors and enables you to manage memory consumption. It provides the
following information:

Memory
A graphic showing memory usage on the
NAS.
• Blue: Available memory, expressed as
a percentage. Available memory is the
sum of free memory, buffer memory,
cache memory, and other reclaimable
memory.
• Green: Free memory, expressed as a
percentage. Free memory is memory
that is currently unused and
unallocated.
Click
Optimize
to clear the buffer memory
(block level) and cache memory (file
level).
Hover the pointer over the memory widget
to see the amount of available memory
and free memory in MB, GB, or TB.

Junk Files
Junk files are unnecessary system files
and files in the Recycle Bin, which
consume disk space and memory.
• Click
Clear
to permanently delete junk
files.
By default, clicking
Clear
only deletes
unnecessary system files, such as
files that the operating system and
applications create while performing
certain tasks.

Click
to select other types of files
to delete.
Select
Empty Recycle Bin
to include
files that were moved to the Recycle
Bin by the currently active user.
