1. Test setup
➢
Connect the 'LO OUT / IF IN' output of the R&S FSP to the LO/IF port of the
external mixer.
➢
Connect the multiplier to the external mixer.
➢
Apply a sinewave signal with f = 14.5 GHz to the input of the multiplier.
2. Activating the external mixing and selecting the mode
➢
Activate the external mixing with
[
FREQUENCY : EXTERNAL MIXER ]
3. Default setting
➢
Prior to the measurement select the required band (in this case the V band)
with
[
FREQUENCY : EXTERNAL MIXER : SELECT BAND]
➢
Select the V band using the cursor keys and ENTER
