Use these settings to create automatic landings in a stair flight. For example, if a stair flight has 18 treads and you set
the maximum treads to 15, the stair will have two flights with one landing in the middle, keeping under the 15
maximum risers on either side of the landing.
Specifying flight height limits for a stair run

Select a stair.

On the Properties palette, expand Advanced, and expand Flight Height.

Anchoring a Stair to a Landing
Use this procedure to anchor a stair or other AEC object to an existing landing.

Draw a stair with a landing and draw a second stair to attach to the landing. For more information about

Select the stair with a landing, right-click, and click Stair Landing Anchor

Anchor to landing.

Select the stair or other AEC object to anchor to the landing.

Select a location on the landing to anchor the center of the start of the stair run. The flight will be
perpendicular to the landing edge.
Select the insertion point of the AEC object that you are attaching to the landing. The object will be oriented
parallel to the edge of the landing.
