Usage guidelines
For an Ethernet copper port, use the
speed
command to set its speed to match the speed of the
peer interface. Support of copper ports for keywords of this command varies by copper port type. For
more information, use the
speed ?
command in interface view. If the system does not prompt that
operation failed when you configure a speed for a copper port, the copper port supports this speed.
Otherwise, the copper port does not support this speed.
For a fiber port, use the
speed
command to set its speed to match the rate of a transceiver module.
