3) Open the tie-wrap band and the harness band clips to
release the motor wire.
4) remove the four screw washers, and remove the power tilt
motor assembly and the motor wire bracket A.
See P. 14-46 for disassembly, inspection and reassembly of
the power tilt motor assembly.
5) Drain the ATF (automatic transmission fluid) from the gear
pump chamber.
6) Remove the O-ring from the power tilt motor assembly.
Replace the O-ring with a new one on reassembly.
7) Remove the drive joint from the gear pump assembly.
8) Hold the cylinder comp. in a vise using a shop towel or
equivalent material as shown.
Do not tighten the vise excessively, as it can damage the
cylinder comp.
