Test External Ringing

Make a test call to the attendant console to verify ringing device sounds when the Night lamp on console
is lighted. If ringing device has not been installed by customer, connect spare telephone to information
outlet reserved for ringing device and make test call.
Test Queue Warning Indicator

Make a test call to an extension associated with a Uniform Call Distribution (UCD) or Direct Department
Calling (DDC) group, and verify the queue warning indicator lamp lights. If the queue warning indicator
has not been installed by customer, connect a spare telephone to the information outlet reserved for queue
warning indicator and make a test call.

The TN750B/C and TN2501AP Announcement circuit packs provide the ability to store messages. The
messages can be recorded from telephones on- or off-premises and have flexible message lengths. The
telephone selected as the test telephone must have a class of service (COS) with console permission
enabled.

Select test telephone with console permission enabled.

Dial the access code followed by the integrated announcement extension number. Dial tone is
heard.

Dial “1.” A short burst of tone is heard and recording begins. Speak the announcement into the
telephone.

Dial “#” or hang up. Recording stops and dial tone is heard.
