MIC Extensions
Each MIC port requires a Superset extension from a COV card in the SX-2000. This section
explains the configuration procedure for these Superset extensions. The first part of this section
pertains only to MIC call processing ports, while the second part describes special
configuration required if a MIC port must be dedicated for control of message waiting
indicators.

Configuration for MIC Call Processing Ports
Configure the MIC ports used for call processing using the following procedure.
1.
Allocate a Superset extension for each of the MIC ports.
2.
Allocate an unused PBX COS for the MIC processing ports. This COS is assigned only
to the MIC call processing ports, and must not be assigned to any other extensions.
Access to the Class of Service Options Assignment form for this COS and set the COS
options as described below.

Set the following COS options according to the requirements of the particular VP 300
installation.

Public Network to Public Network Connection Allowed
Non-verified Account Code
Account Code Length
Public Network Access (via DPNSS)
All other COS options that are either Yes or No must be set to No. COS timer options
other than those listed above do not pertain to operation of CPI and can be left
unchanged. Note the COS number used for the MIC ports, as it is needed for the
Station Service Assignment form.
