10.2.4
MITEL SX-100/SX-200 ANALOG CONFIGURATION
This section describes the changes that must be made to the Mitel SX-100/SX-200 Analog
configuration so that the PBX can use the VP 300’s Adaptive Integration features. The
configuration requirements may differ slightly for different Mitel software releases. The
configuration instructions note any of these differences.
The Mitel SX-100/SX-200 Analog configuration requires access to the attendant console or
maintenance console connected to the PBX. Configuration changes are made for some or all of the
following:
•
System Options
•
Feature Access Codes
•
COS Define
•
Superset Telephones
•
Hunt Groups
•
Stations
•
Non-Dial-In Trunks
•
Dial-In Trunks
The changes to the PBX configuration are divided into four sections:
•
System Options
•
MIC Extensions
•
Trunks and Trunk Groups
•
Station Extensions
Prior to these sections is a description of the conventions for names that may be programmed for
Superset phones.
■
Naming Conventions
The Mitel SX-100/SX-200 Analog permits assignment of alphanumeric names to individual
Superset extensions. This name may be up to ten characters long. For correct operation of CPI,
some rstrictions apply to how these names are defined. Refer to the section – PBX Functional
Limitations That Affect CPI, in this chapter for details about the limitations.
If no name is programmed for an extension, Adaptive Integration will correctly identify
extension numbers. Whenever a name is programmed for a Superset extension, however, the
name must be programmed according to the guidelines below in order for Adaptive Integration
to correctly identify the source of incoming calls.
