10.1.4
MITEL SX-200 DIGITAL CONFIGURATION
This section describes the changes that must be made to the Mitel SX-200 Digital configuration so
that the PBX can use the VP 300’s Adaptive Integration features. The configuration requirements
my differ slightly for different Mitel software releases. The configuration instructions note any of
these differences.
The Mitel SX-200 Digital configuration requires access o the Customer Data Entry (CDE) function
using a terminal connected to the PBX. Configuration changes require access to at least some of the
following CDE forms:
•
CDE Form 02 — FEATURE ACCESS CODES
•
CDE Form 03 — COS DEFINE
•
CDE Form 05 — TENANT INTERCONNECTION TABLE
•
CDE Form 09 — STATIONS/SUPERSET TELEPHONES
•
CDE Form 14 — NON-DIAL-IN TRUNKS
•
CDE Form 15 — DIAL-IN TRUNKS
•
CDE Form 16 — TRUNK GROUPS
•
CDE Form 17 — HUNT GROUPS
The format of the CDE form screens may differ among the different Mitel software releases.
The changes to the PBX configuration are divided into three sections:
•
MIC Extensions
•
Trunks and Trunk Groups
•
Station Extensions
Prior to these sections is a description of the conventions for names that may be programmed in the
SX-200 Digital.
■
Naming Conventions
The Mitel SX-200 Digital permits assignment of alphanumeric names to trunk groups,
individual trunks, and individual extensions. This name may be up to eight characters for trunks
or trunk groups and up to ten characters for an extension. For correct operation of CPI, some
restrictions apply to how these names are defined. Refer to the section – PBX Functional
Limitations that Affect CPI in this chapter for details about the limitations.
If no name is programmed for an extension or trunk group, Adaptive Integration will correctly
identify extension numbers and trunk numbers. Whenever a name is programmed for an
extension or trunk group, however, the name must be programmed according to the guidelines
below in order for Adaptive Integration to correctly identify the source of incoming calls.
☞
Name assignment is restricted in earlier SX-200 Digital software releases. Generic 1000
permits name assignment only for Superset extensions, and Generic 1001 and Generic
1002 permit name assignment only for Superset extensions and for trunk groups. In all
releases, however, the name length limitations are the same.
