Examples of Various CDR Screens
Below are examples of various CDR records. CDR logs may be created for billing or
maintenance purposes.
CDR Record for Invalid Logons with subsequent actions
The following example shows a CDR log for entry of invalid security code and caller
subsequent actions. This type of CDR record could be used to identify hacker activity. In this
example, the status BADP indicates that an invalid security code was entered; BADM indicates
that an invalid mailbox number was entered. The status OK indicates that the network outcall
was successful.
CDR Record for Logon Calls to a specific mailbox
The following example shows a CDR log detailing four logon calls to mailbox 4585 starting on
August 12, 1993.
The status OK indicates the logon was successful and the status BADP indicates that an invalid
security code was entered when attempting to log on to mailbox 4585. The log shows
subsequent actions, since the initial action in each case was a direct call from the station (not
shown).
☞
In the above example, if & was not in the command line, the output would have included
all records contained in the log for mailbox 4585 and all logon activity to any mailbox.
CDR Record for Fax Transactions
The following example shows a CDR log for all fax transactions. The CDR command is set
with the column length 132 (L132) in order to see the Destination and RTE columns.
In this example, the records in the log indicate:
•
A two-page fax was successfully received (FAXRCV OK) from a location with an
identification string of 2126911191. The RTE column displays the voice port allocated for
FAXRCV.
