If any diskette fails the test, a replacement must be obtained before
continuing with this procedure. Refer to MAINTENANCE, Floppy
Disk Drive (FD) Diagnostics section, for a description of this
diagnostic.
13. Repeat steps 11 and 12
for each diskette.

tests the slot and updates its status record.
