Command Basic Definition
TE X n m p TEST FAX (Release 7.1 or later)
A loop back test is performed on the specified fax channels to verify that the fax
modems can send and receive fax data and to test the TDM bus connection. Fax
modem data is sent across the Toshiba VP System’s TDM bus using one of the
fax channels as a sender and the other as a receiver. When this transaction is
completed, the fax application processor reverses the direction of the data flow
and repeats the transaction. Refers to the Feature Description manual, VP FAX
MAIL.

m = fax channel
p = fax channel
DEX N Disk EXerciser (N = Disk number)
(DISK#) Tests all hard disk sectors for read errors.

Miscellaneous Commands
Command Basic Definition
APURGE x y z (Release 6.1) Starts the message purge function if Automatic Message Purge is
not already in progress. This command allows for the specification of purge
thresholds with the same restrictions enforced by UPDATE for the System and
CSTAT parameters. Prior to initiating the message purge function, this
command will display the thresholds specified and ask for confirmation.
x = save threshold
y = new threshold
z = Net Name
BAUD Displays the current baud rate setting of the VP 300. To change the baud rate,
enter BAUD at the @ prompt followed by the desired baud rate. Then change
the terminal’s baud rate and press
when prompted. The available baud
rates are: 300, 600, 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600, and 19200.
BITTST x Converts hardware errors data fields into bit sets. (x = hexadecimal number)
CDINTG [X] [Y] (Release 6.1) Takes integration unit out of service. X is the slot number. Y is the
unit number.
CPURGE (Release 6.1) Cancels message purge if it is in progress regardless of whether it
was initiated automatically or by the APURGE command. Asks for confirmation
before canceling message purge.
CUINTG [X] [Y] (Release 6.1) Brings integration unit into service. X is the slot number. Y is the
unit number.
DSKMAP Displays the last known status of all drives as recorded by the VCU. DSKMAP
can be run from the hard disk or from the Release L.X.X.X software diskette.
