If Station Call Forwarding is activated, it takes precedence over Call Rerouting, so use of
Station Call Forwarding may interfere with operation of the VP 300 CPI.
The SX-2000 permits calls to forward from two to ten times, limited by the system option
Number of Forward Hops. If a call has forwarded multiple times before reaching the VP
300, will identify the destination of the forwarded call as the extension from which it
originally forwarded.
VP 300 uses the following prompts to describe the reason it receives a forwarded call:
* If System Parameter 115 is set to Y, the VP 300 uses “(name) is on the phone” instead
of “(name) is busy.” Refer to the Feature Description manual — CUSTOMIZATION,
Recording Names for Mailboxes, for further details.

Called Party Identification Call Processing
With Called Party Identification, the VP 300 distinguishes between direct and forwarded calls,
as well as between internal calls and external trunk calls. The VP 300 also identifies the status
of an extension from which it receives a forwarded call. The VP 300 obtains this call
information from display information, which the PBX sends through the Superset lines
connected to the MIC. This section describes how the VP 300 uses call record information to
identify and process various types of calls.
Direct Calls from
Mitel SX-2000 trunks can be directed to the VP 300 for answering
External Trunks
through the Mitel SX-2000’s trunk configuration. Refer to the
SX-2000 Configuration section, Trunks and Trunk Groups, for the
requirements to configure trunks. For calls received on these trunks,
the Mitel SX-2000 provides the VP 300 with a display containing the
following information:
XXX is the trunk number that the VP 3000 uses to identify trunks. If
the MIC Superset ports do not have the COS option COV Voice Mail
port enabled, and the trunk has a Trunk Service Label, this label will
appear in the display instead of TRUNK XXX. In this case, the trunk
service number must be programmed as part of the label. Refer to the
Naming Conventions section. With this information, the VP 300 can
process external calls according to trunks on which they are received.
The VP 300 answers an external call with the company greeting
assigned to the trunk group receiving that call. Since the VP 300
