Wait until program downloading is complete. When it is complete, the Green LED is ON
and the Red LED is OFF. The MIC is not fully operational until after system port
initialization is complete and the CPU has downloaded additional parameters to the card.

After port initialization is complete, log on to the system and use the LIST INT command
to check the state of the card. Once the LINK STATUS is IDLE, ACTIVE, or MSG WAIT
for all links, the card is operational.

Testing Adaptive Integration Features
This section describes the procedures for testing Adaptive Integration features. Once the MIC
board is installed and operational and the PBX cables are connected to the correct slots,
continue with the procedure listed below.
1.
TESTING THE VP 300 PORTS
This test verifies that all PBX VP 300 port extensions are connected to the correct
VP 300 ports.
A. On the VP 300 terminal, enter
L T
and select
1.
ALL ACTIVITIES.
and C for continuous display.
B. From phone A, call the extension of the VP 300 port 1. Does the VP 300 answer with
“To enter your mailbox, press pound?”
NO

Determine the cause and correct the problem before continuing.
If the system activity trace does not show that the correct port answered, change the
port connections to correct the problem.
C. Repeat step B for each of the MIC ports.
2.
CONFIGURING THE VP 300 FOR TEST
Before proceeding, make the following changes to the VP 300 configuration. These
changes are temporary; they are required only for testing.
A. Add a VP 300 mailbox that has a mailbox number matching the extension number for
phone B. This mailbox is referred to as mailbox B.
B. Assign these attributes to the COS for mailbox B:
Attribute 9 — MESSAGE WAITING LAMP
(Message Waiting Indication only)
Attribute 15 — TRANSFER TO RINGING
