Unpacking the motorcycle
•
Lever off the cover.
•
Cut the plastic sheet open and pull it off.
•
Take out the separate pack of items:
–
Windscreen
–
Mirrors, right/left
–
Engine spoiler
–
Small parts/fasteners
•
Force off cross-struts with a suitable lever.

Attention:
Do not knock the cross-struts out or the motorcycle
may be damaged.
•
Remove the end-walls.
•
Remove the side-walls.
e
Attention:
Remove any nails projecting from the base of the
packing or lying on the base or on the floor.
•
Open the tensioning straps.
e
Attention:
Make sure that the tensioning straps cannot fly out
and cause injury when they are opened.
•
Push the motorcycle off the pallet.
•
Dispose of the packing materials in an environ-
mentally responsible manner as described in Cir-
cular No. 23/91 - Sales.

Pushing the motorcycle onto a work-
shop platform

Warning:
[Integral ABS] Take care on account of residual
braking function.
Wait until self-diagnosis completes and, with ignition
switched on, push the motorcycle onto the platform.
The brake booster is active.

Check for damage.
•

If parts are needed, order them by using the
electronic parts list.

Checking that delivery is com-

Turn key in seat lock to left and hold it there.
•
Pull the seat upwards and to the rear out of its
catch, as far as the first detent position.
•
Remove seat.
•
Check that the delivery is complete:
–
Separate pack of items
–
Keys
–
All optional extras
–
Toolkit (see the illustration of the contents on the
inside of the toolkit bag)
–
Documentation (open the cover on the underside
of the seat)
