Handover
This is the ideal opportunity to familiarise the cus-
tomer with the motorcycle in order to ensure the
customer’s satisfaction and safety.
•
The user must be given the following information:
–
The centre and side stands do not retract auto-
matically, which makes it easier to raise the mo-
torcycle or place it on its side stand.
–
The engine will run even when the side stand is
extended.
–
Before checking the engine oil level, the engine
must be switched off for at least 10 minutes and
the motorcycle must be standing on its main
stand on a flat, level surface.
•
Demonstrate or explain the following points to
the customer:
–
How to adjust the seat, the windscreen, the left
and right handlebars, the footrests and the gear-
shift lever
–
How to remove and install the seat
–
Documentation and stowage space
–
Toolkit and stowage space
–
Oil funnel

Warning:
The motorcycle may be operated only with the cap
for the battery's positive terminal closed and the tool
tray in position.

When installing the battery, make
sure that the position of the protector for the brake
hose is correct.

Note:
Starting on gradients:
Always switch on the ignition with gear engaged and
both brake levers released. Self-diagnosis cannot
be performed successfully if you do not follow this
procedure. When self-diagnosis completes, apply
the brakes, disengage the clutch, and start the
engine.
