[Integral ABS] Removing/

installing pressure modulator

e

Attention:

Work on the ABS pressure modulator may only be
performed by a specialist workshop.

e

Attention:

Do not allow brake fluid to come into contact with
painted parts of the motorcycle. Brake fluid destroys
the paint finish. Protect parts on the handgrip, pres-
sure modulator and brake caliper with cloths.

e

Attention:

Disconnect the negative battery terminal first, then
the positive terminal.

–

Drain the brake system (

a

–

Remove battery with hose protector (2)
(

–

Disconnect plug from power socket in
mudguard.

–

Remove rear mudguard.

–

Slacken diagnosis plug.

Attention:

Do not allow brake fluid to come into contact with
painted parts of the motorcycle, because brake fluid
destroys paint.

•

Release hose clips (arrows) at wheel-circuit
reservoir (1).

•

Open 3 cable ties (arrows) on rear frame.

•

Disconnect brake line (8) from distributor filler
adapter (10).

•

Release the fastener (7).

•

Remove clamps and loosen rubber boots on
brake lines (3,4,5).

•

Loosen brake lines (3,4,5).

•

Release 2 fasteners (9) securing pressure modu-
lator to battery holder.

•

Push ABS plug connector (11) to the right to
release (arrow) and remove.
