Changing the clutch fluid/blee-
ding the clutch system
(Inspection IV) every 2 years
–
Place the motorcycle on its main (centre) stand.
•
Turn the handlebars to the right.
e
Attention:
Do not allow brake fluid to come into contact with
painted parts of the motorcycle, because brake fluid
destroys paint.
•
Take off reservoir cover with rubber diaphragm.
e
Attention:
When adding brake fluid, do not allow it to enter the
holes for the reservoir lid screws.
Add brake fluid up to the
MAX
mark (arrow).

Note:
The filler adapter is on the main frame, on the right-
hand side of the motorcycle.
•
Cut through cable ties.
•
Remove Allen grub screw (arrow) from the filler
adapter.
•
Install the bleed screw in the filler adapter.
•
Connect the brake bleeding device to the bleed
screw.
•
Open the bleed screw by half a turn.

Attention:
While bleeding the system, do not allow the brake
fluid level to drop below the
MIN
mark, as otherwise
air will be drawn into the clutch system.
Bleed the system again if this happens.
•
Draw off brake fluid until it emerges clear and
free from air bubbles.
e
Attention:
Dispose of old brake fluid in an environmentally-fri-
endly manner.
•
Add brake fluid up to the
MAX
mark.
•
Close the bleed screw.
•
Bleed the system again if necessary.
•
Turn the handlebars to the right.
•
Top up the brake fluid in the reservoir to the spe-
cified level (
a
00.61).
•
Installation is the reverse of the removal proce-
dure. Pay particular attention to the following:

Warning:
The motorcycle must not be ridden without the grub
screw screwed into the filler adater.
