Viewing SNMP Statistics
The
snmps
command is used to display
SNMP
statistics. The command displays the
SNMP
activities since the last time the switch was powered on, or since the last Reset was executed.
It also displays a list of the current traps.
The
snmps
command is listed on the
Networking
menu. For more information about the
networking menu, see Chapter 25, “IP Routing.” To display
SNMP
statistics, enter the follow-
ing command:
snmps

Total Packets
The total number of packets received and sent.
Bad Versions
The total number of
SNMP
messages delivered to the switch
SNMP
protocol entity that were
for an unsupported
SNMP
version.
Bad Community Names
The total number of
SNMP
message names delivered to the switch
SNMP
protocol entity that
used an unknown
SNMP
community name.
Bad Community Use
The total number of
SNMP
messages delivered to the
SNMP
protocol entity which represented
an S
NMP
operation that was not allowed by the
SNMP
community named in the message.
