3. Click Select Hex file and browse to find
the file to download.
4. Select the file with a name similar to
70095Xnn.hex
located in the CD-ROM
folder
EDC CardioMD programming
for Module rev. 9CSY0900-B02 or
later
and click Open.
Xnn
is the revision number of the micro con-
troller firmware.
5. Select the COM port used.
6. Click Program Target Device.
The program issues the message:
Please ensure that the Target
Board is in Bootstrap Loader Mode
.
When you see this message:
7. Locate the Reset button and Detector se-
lect switch on the EDC board.
8. Hold the Detector Select switch in posi-
tion PGRM (toward the Reset button).
9. While holding the Detector Select switch
toward the Reset button (momentary
switch function), press the Reset button.
Note . Ensure that the Detector Select switch is
returned to the correct position: DET 0 for
detector 1 and DET 1 for detector 2.
10. Click OK to download the software to the
EDC Module.
A progress bar should now appear.
Note . If an error message appears instead of
the progress bar, click OK and repeat from
step 6 to try again.
11. Wait until the progress bar disappears and
a completion message appears. Click OK.
12. Click Exit to close the Flash program.
13. Reset the EDC board. This time, only
press the EDC board’s Reset button.

of the EDC board, proceed to the section
Upgrading Logic Firmware on page 7-10. If
