Setting SWCA call groups

Programming Operations Guide
Setting SWCA call groups
Although System-side Call Appearance (SWCA) assignments are meant to be assigned to buttons
with indicators, you can assign SWCA assignments to a telephone without assigning them to
buttons using the fields on this screen.
This is useful if you want to use the full range of SWCA assignments.
Users can park or retrieve calls on any SWCA assignment, even if it is not directly assigned to
their telephone. However, the SWCA support codes (FEATURE *520, FEATURE *537 and
FEATURE *538) only search for SWCA assignments that are assigned to the telephone where the
feature is invoked. These codes are required for users who do not have buttons with indicators.
Configuring SWCA call groups
Use these steps to program SWCA call groups for a telephone.
1
If you are not already in the DN record, click the key beside the telephone DN to which you
want to assign SWCA.
2
Click the key beside Capabilities, then click the SWCA call groups heading.

You can assign them to any digital or IP telephone, including the
7000 and 7100 digital phones.
Refer to the
