Multi-function Compact Inverter 3G3MX2-V1 User’s Manual (I585-E1)
Use this function to switch between simple position control and speed control (frequency operation).
Set the Multi-function Input S1 to S7 Selection (C001 to C007) to 73 (SPD: Speed/Position switching).
• Turn ON the SPD (Speed/Position switching) terminal to switch from simple position control to speed
control (frequency operation).
• Turn OFF the SPD (Speed/Position switching) terminal to switch from speed control (frequency oper-
ation) to simple position control.
• In the speed control (frequency operation) mode, the rotation direction depends on the RUN command.
Under simple position control/speed control, be sure to execute the RUN command according to the
direction of movement.
• The Current Position Monitor (d030) always counts feedback signals regardless of the selected con-
trol.
The inverter performs control switching based on the origin determined by the origin search function.
• To clear the current position data when the mode is switched from simple position control to speed
control, set the Multi-function Input S1 to S7 Selection (C001 to C007) to 47 (PCLR: Current position
clear) and turn ON that input terminal.
Note that the delay occurs for the response time (approximately 4 to 6 ms) of the inverter input termi-
nal.
• Switching from speed control to simple position control immediately before the target position may
cause hunting during DC injection braking. Allow a sufficient interval when switching the control.
• The speed/position switching function does not work when the Position Control Mode Selection
(P075) is set to 01 (No limit). Be sure to set this parameter to 00 (Limit).
