Safety Information

In the case of a fault, perform failure analyze and troubleshooting. Make sure the system is safe and stay out of
the range of mechanical movements before resetting fault, or personal injury may be caused.

When power supply is resumed after a sudden power outage, do not get close to the equipment to avoid
personal injury due to the automatic restart of the system.

Please contact us for servo drive maintenance. Unauthorized disassembling of the servo drive may bring about
new faults.
Fault Description
9.2
When RC series drives work abnormally, cautions will be given in the form of alarms or faults, and relevant
protective operations will be conducted.
Alarm: when the servo drive detects minor abnormities, the AXIS STA indicator will flash red and green
alternatively and issue an alarm signal, but shutdown protection will not be applied.
Fault: when the servo drive detects severe abnormities, the AXIS STA indicator will flash red and issue an
alarm signal, and shutdown protection will be conducted.
Faults can be classified into three types according to the severity of drive abnormities:
Unrecoverable faults: when the drive detects a very severe abnormity, it will immediately stop PWM output
and start the shutdown protection. In such a case, the AXIS STA indicator will flash red quickly. After
troubleshooting, 1) clear the fault through restarting the drive (or soft reset of DriveStarter); 2) Set the unresettable
fault to be immediately cleared through the fault operation switch of parameter 0x2094, and clear the fault by
sending the fault reset command through the upper controller.
Recoverable faults 0: when the drive detects a relatively severe abnormity, it will immediately stop PWM
output and start the shutdown protection. In such a case, the AXIS STA indicator will flash red slowly. After
troubleshooting, the fault can be cleared through Reset signals.
Recoverable faults 1 and 2: when the drive detects an abnormity with low severity, it will immediately stop
PWM output and start the shutdown protection with selectable shutdown modes. In such a case, the AXIS STA
indicator will flash red slowly. After troubleshooting, the fault can be cleared through Reset signals.
