SPARK PLUGS

SPARK PLUG CLEANING AND INSPECTION

1. Carefully pull the plug wire from the spark plug and remove the spark plug.

2. If the plug is oily or has carbon built up on it, clean the plug using a high flash-point solvent and a wire

brush or other suitable tool.

3. If the spark plug electrodes are corroded or damaged, or if the insulator is cracked, replace the plug with

an OEM replacement.

• Spark Plug Type: NGK BPR2ES

SPARK PLUG GAP INSPECTION

1. Measure the gap with a wire-type thickness gauge.

2. If the gap is incorrect, carefully bend the side electrode with a suitable tool to obtain the correct gap.

• Spark Plug Gap: 0.030 in. (0.75 mm)
