Post Biopsy
When the biopsy is complete, remove the needle barrel, needle
clip and probe sheath. Properly dispose of these items in
accordance with current facility guidelines.
The biopsy bracket can be sterilized in a recommended
disinfecting agent and reused.
E721 Probe Biopsy Guide
Preparation
To prepare the E721 for use:
1.
Remove the probe from the box and carefully examine
it for any damage.
2.
If the biopsy guide is to be attached, use the filling
removal tool (Figure 15–32) to clean out the attachment
area on the probe head.

Clean, then disinfect/sterilize the probe.
NOTE: Ensure that protective gloves are worn.
