PGA Base — contains a 15 x 15 universal Pin Grid socket, enabling
you to program PGA devices from 44 pins to 84 pins.
•
SOIC Base — enables you to program SOICs with leads on 0.050-inch
centers up to 44 pins.
•
PPI Base— accepts a variety of PPI (Package or Pinout Interface)
adapters. The PPI adapters support a variety of high pin count and
unusual packages, including QFP, Shrink DIP (0.070-inch centers),
TSOP, and PCMCIA card.
Compatibility
Whether or not PinSite is compatible with your UniSite-xpi depends on
your memory requirements and on the version of UniSite-xpi software
you are using. The PinSite module is fully compatible with any
UniSite-xpi running Version 3.2 (or later) system software.
Note: The software version and RAM size appear in the upper right corner of
most UniSite-xpi VT100 screens.
Pin Driver
Requirements
PinSite requires a minimum number of pin driver boards for
programming specific device packages. The following table lists the
minimum number of pin driver boards necessary to program PLCC,
LCC, SOIC, and PGA devices.
